Moving back - 17 November 2009

Today the spoke and said that there is a possibility we can move back. They got clearance from the fire department. My office went to a meeting and she got same thing positive back that there the go head of moving back to the building.

Today every one felt like they where the first time they where thrown out the building, miserable so they where so glad at the end of this day that they going to move back so every one packed away there little things so we can just go fetch it tomorrow.

The switchboard operator that girl she working on my nerves every time i must go answer the phone and i got work i have to do. She was not there today don't know why, but i am not answering any phones tomorrow and there going to be reception to answer while she not there. I am not going to do her dirty work for her

Building shut over fire fears!!!

CITY authorities have shut down a privately owned Wynberg building because it says the owners have not complied with safety regulations. The building is use by several provincial government departments,including one that deals with child maintenance payments.

Two weeks ago,people working in building were barred from entering Maynard Plaza in Wynberg. The seven storey building houses the offices of the South African Social Security Agency, Department of Social Development and Department of Justice. The building was closed after an inspection by the fire and rescue services, which found it contravened the by law relating to community fire safety, including emergency exists routes, as well as the national building regulations.

The notice orders that fire escape doors mus be 'reinstated' on each floor; that push bar panic bolts must be replaced on all doors and emergency exits and fire extinguishers clearly marked. Pat Adams,director for the city's emergency services,said further inspections where being done and the building would be reopen once all safety requirements where met. Samantha Lambert, asset manager for landlord Redefine Properties, said every effort was made tomeet the regulations, and the council had to informed the company of the no compliance during the inspection on October 21

The following day, she said, the fire inspector had ordered tenants to vacate building.

break away - going back:)

Hey, every one so it's been 2 weeks out out of the office. Being where i am for this week was actually nice even thou it rain a lot. People complain but i like it you can see who coming and who going and everything was out doors. I like it because you see this person now that we are there in open than i do when we back at the office.

This displaced was actually good just to get a break away from the building and noise of taxi's and trains. It's so nice there you go out you see green grass, trees, Egyptian gees, birds chirping this going to be same thing i am going miss. It was boring but nice being there. First week was totally boring but this week was nice i spoke a lot to this lady i hardly see because she on 2rd floor. We going to miss one another the company i am sure of that

But i won't stop this blogger until i hear what is the go ahead.

Rainy day

It was raining the whole day 4 seasons in 1 day it rains hard then stops sunshine. I did put on my other files in the cabinet at least all that is done.

Just sat around and my friend ask me to go with them on saturday so i am going because they always asking me. so they ask me again then i said yes, let just see how it's going to be.

I was just sitting around until home time. There was nothing to do for the rest of the daybut watch the rain.

I walked to work and walked back home it's just a 15 minutes walk.

Maybe i walk again if it's not raining.

Un Settle

So it's day 2 of where our new work space is going to be. It's not in a building it's now everything out doors. We in different houses and if you must walk to get to same one who you want to see. And today it was raining and every one was just complaining. That must walk in the rain it's what they can do just complain and complain mourn and groun.

I did same work i pack in that files so i did samething for the day than sit around. About 11 am my friend came there to my place and she sat an i made her coffee. we where chatting was telling me about how her mother passed away. Out the blue i said my father took my mother to work so he can drop me and fetch me. Then she ask where my mother work so i said in Reatret by where i said DP Maria so she said don't lie so i said really she does work there why, so she said her boyfriend mother aslo works there. I was supprise also

Then i went down to her house it's far we where playing cards. I did not get it because it was slightly complicated but the office manager came down and told about the meeting but we took the cards away

things are getting in order

So today every one was a little settle, but most of them gave bad comments but i just ignore them i don't let them bother me i am there to do a job not to make other people happy.

I put in the files in the cabinet but not all is there. Then i was just sitting and getting tired. I work down today got no lift i don't want to ask any one for a lift and then the talks are the next day.

I took 15 minutes to walk down i wonder how long i well take to walk up tomorrow morning. Hope the same amount of time.

busy day

I went to work today. My father drooped me because it was raining. Then on Friday it was discuss they going to stay there for a year.they have to get as space. So it's a place of safety so they have houses all around but not so good condition. My supervisor got a office of a lady what coming back to work next month but her office is so neat and tidy nothing is moved so my surpervisor said no she can't work in same one else office.

So they got a small space but it's okay, we are with Registry. And every one one was cleaning and washing windows. But, we did not know what happen to the switch board operator did not pitch up today so i had to answer the calls but we just have one phone for us. The whole morning and i was tired so i went to have lunch and i did not answer the phone again.

Then i went to just sit with my friend we spoke little then she left and i went inside, went to the back came in again. Answer the phone went to the back again. when i came back it was home time and they where talking about how you access your mail from the internet so i just butt in an my friend just look at me and left. So i said http://webmail.pgwc.gov.za and i signed out and got a lift too my house

Week 1 of being displaced!!!!!!!!!

to get the The week with every one being around it was so frustrating, i went to the building the Mondayattendance register i did every thing and i forgot to look if the printers where on but i never, that was my mistake, anyway i had to leave the building when i got out side the guy who gave me lift he left all ready gosh, how rude can you just drive away when you drop a person you must wait even if it's long he just does not have patience.

My house is near to the building so i was thinking should i go home, wait or walk up what should i do i waited a little and then i decided i am going to walk. And when i got there every one ask me, how did i get here so i said i walked then they said they guy what drop me is now looking for me i a was okay after awhile.

The next day, Tuesday i had to get that addend ace register, then my friend or so call friend don't know what she is. She went with me to the building and i got it and when i came back. I had to go and print out every thing. We where having the operational reviews it was so boring and tiring. We all where so rest less but it finished at 3:30pm so we went home.

Wednesday the complains are coming out 'how can we work like this every one around got no space for ourselves' i was thinking this was no one fault that they closed the building this was going to happen if it was not now it would been done. The reviews continue and it was like so tiring just sitting an listen i wonder if i did listen i don't think so. But it ended ab it early so we all discussed the building situation and giving suggests what place we can use. I had a dentist appointment so i left early. My so called friend she left i don't know where i did not ask, just as a friend i thought to get her number so i can text her. So i did and told her every thing what's going to happen the next day, building would be close for 3 months. But, sadly no responds from her.

Thursday is the day the social workers going to same other place. I had my tooth extracted so i was not so well, and could not even speak properly. So i was just sitting and watching how every one is like came there and just doing there own thing and they must leave. The so called friend she came in and saw me and she said thanks for your sms, but i was sleeping. Gosh, what does that mean i think 'so what i don't even care about anything here' i just smile. It left the Resource staff behind it was so boring i read a little of my book, then went to the building and i got all my things what i use. So that's okay i don't need to worry. when we came back we heard the social workers went home and we where so why do they always get to get home because they go out to communities but it just does not work like that. We left and 3pm and my manager told me i must wait and he told me you can have the day off the Friday i was surprise then i said really is it okay with Ms Bam so he said yes.

Friday, i just relaxed at home i don't what happen well hear on Monday......

Evacuated day!!!!!!

I am aweek late but i only have time to this now. It was a thursday we had a meeting with all admin staff we always have it before staff meeting. That would of been the next day. When we came out of meeting every one was in the passengers and i did not even know what's going on. My other supervisor told me that the fire inspecters are here. And he was saying that if you go out you can't get back in.

I was panicing but this came to shock to every one. and we did not know what was the right message get out of building because it's not safe being in a place where is not safe. The office manager called all the staff together and she gave a brief instruction that all muse evacuate the building in 10 minutes. This was short notice i mean just 10 minutes to evacuate going threw my mind that time. I was thinking i am out the building i use to work at but do i have a job still, because i won't do the what i was doing at the office. And all the government cars had to go too tented en that we are at now.

I came home 12:30 and my dad asked me why you home so early. So i said that the building is closed and all the tenants have to all go.. Fire Inspectors closed it. I was so upset that day but what can we do it was meant to happen long ago but this is the time that it did happen.

It's a good thing, what if a fire had to break and every one in building, emergency exits are all blocked off. Jump out windows that's the only way to save your life in that building.

All must report to tenterden the next day....

Traveling back to Cape Town 14th September

I am going back to Cape Town. I am flying back. My friend Saajida came to fetch us and we took like a short way to the airport i don't think it's the same distance as the high way if you on there all the time. She got as there early, it was sad leaving her and we hugged each other so that i won't forget about you.

We checked in early so we walk around, and we went in to our terminal there are few shops but not so much time then we went to sit by our gate until we could board.

I was sitting by the wing and i fell asleep for an hour then i woke up. An just saw we flying above the clouds then did not sleep after that.

We landed on time and there was slight turbulence but not so bad. We were waiting for a luggage and it came out last.

My cousin came to pick us up then we went to fetch her mom when we got home we where lock out my cousin who stayed here locked the bottom of the door so we had to fetch it in Cape town
and only got home past 4

and that what happen but i arrived safely.....

Day 8 ----- 13 September 2009

It was hajierah birthday. Bilal came to fetch us at 11:00 then we went to have hasan ali hair cut. Rabia called so we went to her and greet. Then we went to Hajierah's place clearing up most of her things are coming down to Cape Town.

We left past 3 to the airport they 155kg and about 90 kgs over weight but they did not pay. It was really sad my sister was crying alot but when she left previously she never cried i think she now realise what she is going to miss

We where all sad and crying they thought the flight it's at 6 but it was delayed for nearly 3 hours. But they have arrived safely but every one is so depressed.

Day 7 --- 12 September 2009

This morning we went to the oriental plaza. My mom was not feeling well this morning. We did not not stay there to long. Then we came to my sister place and i was tired and i fell asleep. I woke up only now. Last year i was on my way to joburg. My brother in law forgot his wife birthday. That's very bad of him.

There are still lot of still alot of stuff to be packed away but every is becaming lazy.

I think we going to eat by spur last year we also went to eat at spur for her birthday.

Day 6 --- 11 September 2009

I am a week in Johannesburg. My stay was very nice and exciting but not the end it won't be nice but sad.

I was just thinking this morning that they are leaving again. And it not nice feeling, seeing them go. I would tell you guys how many times i said good bye to them already.

5. Johannesburg - Senegal/ Mauritania

And how many more time would i say good bye it's so unfair every time they are taken away the kids. When i see them again they well be big and i well be old maybe married or not...

I was the whole day at my sister place. They got there passports so there no delaying. I fell asleep i think after 1 pm then i woke up at 3. It was nice just to take a nap then my niece was sleepy she just came to me and she put her head on my shoulder and fast asleep. And she still sleeping.

We are going to break fast at the people in front my sister stays at.

There is still lots of stuff to be packed a way or just to be cleared. That's the thing when you get married have kids an please settle down get a house. if you don't do this you be just like my sister just storing all her things what she can't take with...

My free day 9 September 2009

This was my free day and i could be with my friend... She picked me up at the hotel while my mother was not so happy about it anyway i just went. She asked me to have iftar at her house and i did not know what to say if i must or must not go. But i did decide to go. Anyway i went with her to Johannesburg hospital it's name is Baragwanath it's the biggest hospital in South Africa

After the hospital we went to Saajida patient and i was getting the idea what she really does because she was telling me and i did know what she saying. Now i know she is a care giver. We spend same time. Then we went to The Zone it's a very cool mall and the lift's i am so amazed with you press which level you want to go too out side the lift it's got a whole key pad.

Then we meet with Saj friend. I am just meeting so much guy all at the same time i have not meet so many guys before.

We went to her house and i meet her family. They are so nice warm humble people. They dropped me at the hotel... It was awesome meeting with your family and your cousin

Day 3 --- 8 September 2009

This morning we nearly over slept to eat.. of all that walking we did the previous day. we went to the Oriental Plaza it just around the corner where we stay. Then we went to Gift of Givers stayed a while there my dad had to bank money for them.

We came back at 15:00 then i fell asleep then we had to get ready for iftar...

Not lots to say about this day.

Day 2 ---- 7 September 2009

This the day we went to go shopping and we took 5 hours. They went to get a suitcase and they wanted to be at the pharmacy. We went to Cresta Mall and what a mall it is lots of walking. I meet Saajida so i won't forget that mall hey, when we meet it's like okay what do i say like i don't know what to say, thinking just ask what you asked before... It was not so bad. The morning was oh gosh i am going meet some one unbeliveable meeting same one from the internet and we meet but we are now good friends i hope. Inshallah i be back !!!

Day 1 ---- 6 September 2009

Our first night hasan ali came to sleep by us. He did not want to sleep with me. But there was a bed for him. He slept right threw until i woke up @ 3. I could not sleep after fajr not use to the bed but even ally i fell asleep until H. Ali came in the room and said i must wake up the sun is up.

Then i went to shower got dress and we went for walk in Mint road it's very quite i told my mom ask how much you must pay for the room. They same thing now and when you ask again it's completely a different thing, and clever me is always right.

The one that was there at the reception did not know anything about it then we had to pay that price for that room. so we had to move to another room.

We went to Botanical gardens there were a kids things happening. It was so warm and we went to

Pretoria. I was sleeping all the way i was so tired. We went to break fast by Bilal family in Erasmus. It was very cool the boys got Playstation 3, Xbox and Nintendo Wii.

My Journey - Day 2

The second day on the train. We went to sleep early because there is nothing too do. And i was just complaining why is this driver so slow and it made the train so delayed. But when we where sleeping it accually went faster.

I woke up at 23:00 again it was so hot and i had to take off my socks and was just took off my blanket. I evenally fell asleep again then i felt it very cold. My parent's woke up and we made our morning prayers. I did not know exactly where we are but we were going towards kimberly. We got to Kimberly 7:00 it was sun rise. We stoped there for an half and hour. And we are still 30 minutes delayed.

Just 6 more stations then in Johannesburg... But the driver did make up time but it was not engough... We finally arrived in johannesburg at 16:15 we where only delayed by 45 minutes. We got confused of witch hotel we phone too and so we went to Fordsburg Inn but that was not the one it was Fordsburg Tower...

We had Iftar by my sister place and my bro in law father brought lot's of chicken tikka and my sister also made food.

The journey - Day 1

I am only updating this now because i don't have access too the Internet.. So this is the past few days already.

My cousin brought us too the station... They are also busy with contraction work on cape town station. The train arrives on time but the engine did not and since then we where always delayed. Most of the people on the train where mostly whites..

The train is already 10 minutes delayed. i complained since i left cape town until i arrived in Johannesburg. I did not want to use my phone and in the end i did and my battery did not last.. I mostly listen to music on my IPOD.

We where at Worcester station at 16:00 and there where a lot of old people getting on i think it was like a tour for them. And it was still delayed. time just go by so fast but the train did not go fast. We where supposed too reach 2 stations already and we did not reach there. Last year we where at Lainsburg at sunset. But when we got to those 2 stations it was already dark. . That train forever is st oping they said because there where red light's. They came to put on our bedding at 18:00. it was so hot on the train. i went to bed at 8pm...

LEAVING - 04 SEPTEMBER 2009

I am leaving for Johannesburg i am going by train. I am excited but got mix emotions because i know what is going to happen. I have to say good bye too my sister, nephew and niece and that is very hard for me. Even though i did it before but you can't see your family go all the time. I always ask my self this why do they have to go? why are you leaving your family and your country? why do you want to make it difficult for you children? For kids like my nephew he is getting big and he noticing things that he is geting big. To a place and then after not a long time they take him away and that's not fair on them. Children must have a stable back ground where they know this one country, place, house they could call home. But no, that's not happening he is going from one country to the other, and the environment and life style is not the same.

Last year i went to Johannesburg the same time like i am going now.And when we left he was crying so much and he did not want too let my mom go.

Hey, but i am going anyway and if i do think about it tears just flow and it's really sad..
But i would enjoy it on the train, views and be taking pics....

i would write soon don't know when i get a chance but i have a journal that i write in and i would put it on my blog
